I am an artist currently studying my second year of sculpture at Wimbledon College of Art,University of the Arts London.
My work is mainly about my mentally ill mother although i have recently been spanning out and looking at other people with social issues such as addiction and domestic abuse.
I am becoming increasingly interested in photography and relate myself to Richard Billingam and Mary Ellen Mark.
Doris Solcedo's and Rachel Whiteread's relate to my sculptural work.
Ever since i was a child I have been an artist and have always been personally affected by psychiatric illness.
The I address my 'memories' and difficulties is through my practice. this makes me a happy person and able to be real. My work is honest, raw and hard hitting. sometimes I feel like I am making work on behalf of my mother. I don't want to expoit my mother but to 'honour' her struggle through manic depression.
